Idler arm upgrade compatibility?

I got a 2 bolt style idle arm. I heard I can buy a 3 bolt style for the 94+ models and just drill that 3rd hole and the other 2 line up. Any truth to this? Is it as simple as drilling just one hole?

I plan to replace with moog problem solver idler arm cause mine is shot.

I guess in the end no, unless you get the super lift bracket, which I cannot find.

I will go with the MOOG HD arm. Your original looked like mine does now. I have records from the PO changing the idler arm in 2010, 2013, and 2015. Musta just kept using cheapo parts, but the 2010 receipt says MOOG was used. Assuming it was not the HD.

Truck has 267k miles on it. I may just go ahead and change out the pitman aswell. Everything else seems tight.
