Just wondering if i can put an nv3500 from a 93 into my 2000.


In theory should be the same, but i just wanna make sure before i drop cash on a big paperweight.

It will be a direct swap, if we're talking 1500 to 1500. S10's are shorter.

The slave cylinders I think are set up differently though right? I remember on my 94 it had an external slave, and I know they changed to a hydraulic throwout bearing soon after, not that it matters much since I believe you can swap all that over.

You are correct, in 95 or 96 they went to the Hyd. TOB, but it does swap onto the older trans. Some have different gearing too, but the basic unit is the same.

bumping this up, still haven't found a trans for my truck. Now when you say s-10 is shorter, is it possible to make it work with a custom driveshaft or something?

It is, but I believe the shifters may also be in a different location, and it would have to come out of a v6 since the 4 cyl bolt pattern is different. I also think they have less desirable gear ratios.
