hood layers

how much room is there between hood layers? reason i ask is because i want to use self tapping screws to hold my led strip on and wanted to also keep the insulation there. i was planning on putting the strip right in the middle of the hood and it spans all the way across.

any way to zip tie maybe? not sure how the layers are..

not really anyway to ziptie. mobs uncluded some line holders that need to be self tapped into the hood which i have no issue with just dont want it to go through the hood. and im debating wether to keep the insulation or not.
