Fuel Gauge Wiring

I'm looking for the wiring diagram for a 96 Tahoe 4x4 with a 5.7. My fuel gauge is pegged about 1/2" past full. I found a wiring diagram for a 97 and it shows the ground being on the thermostat housing. So i cleaned those up a bit (maybe not well enough) and there is no change. Any advise or diagrams would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sweet deal. I'll check those out. The more I drive it the more I think it's the sending unit. On sweeping right turns the gauge starts to work fine.
