Has anyone ever had to cut out their fuel filter before the fittings? Fittings on my filter are pretty beat up and I don't see an easy way of getting the filter off. Even if I manage to get it off, I'm not confident in the condition of the fittings on the new filter.
I've thought about cutting the filter out with a pipe cutter and putting some fuel hose on the line and replacing the filter with one that has barbed fittings. Anyone do this already? I've searched but didn't see anything.
