engine swap question

Hey guys I have a 1997 chevy 3500 with a 454 in it and I have a buddy that has a 6.5l turbo diesel from a 1997 chevy 3500. He said you would sell it for a grand. it has less than 100000miles and no tranny. Do you guys think that would be a good swap or should I just do the Cummings or duramax swap.

cummins (no g) or dmax are a far superior engine.

Terrible swap first of all a grand for a 6.5? Lol **** that second the 454 is a MUCH better engine

6.5s have two many issues to even be worth it, i would go cummins because its a cheaper swap over duramax
