ok i came across a smokin deal on a motor out of a nearly brand new suburban. the guy who has it is a real good friend of mine but has a terrible memory. he said the motor is all aluminum heads and block. he also said it was a 4.7L. well i told him id like to pick it up being that it has 5k on it and more than likley its truely a 5.3 or 6.0, my question is does anyone know how to identify this thing? i dont think suburbans came with a 4.8L and i have never heard of a gm 4.7 which is why im leaning toward the 5.3 or 6.0 any help would be awesome!
