thanks man. Im hoping it turns out to be a fun ride. the extra 100-150hp should make it pretty peppy i hope

I'm ready to start on mine. More than likely going to LS swap mine with either a cammed LQ4 or LQ9, new brakes, new weatherstripping, 97-98 interior swap, 4/6 drop, 15" Welds, stepside bed, and smoked out lights.

As much as I hated to do it... I had to put a few bucks and some labor into keeping the old tbi 350 running a little longer before the swap. I had to do intake gaskets. Not exactly a fun job and it took a little longer than it should have because I felt the need to clean the parts and paint them. Intake was painted aluminum and air cleaner and valve covers in black wrinkle finish.
all apart..

Well my luck showed its ugly face again... had it running great and everything and last night I was driving and oil pressure dropped and my check gauges light came on. I shut it off instantly and coasted to the shoulder thinking a seal busted or something. Checked the oil... exactly where it was a couple days ago when i checked it. Got back in the truck and cranked it up and it immediately started knocking from the bottom end.
so today this was going down..

Dam that motor looks sick! Can a bad alignment your wheel bearings go out? Mine were eatin away and the tire almost flew off. I bet ya cant wait to get this thing going again!

Not 100% on that... It would seem it would add pressure to the bearings due to rolling resistance..
