Hi all, im new to the forum and recently bought a 97 silverado.

My cargo light switch works, but when I turn on the dash headlight switch the light that lights up the "cargo light " text on the switch doesn't.

Is the bulb serviceable? Or do I need anew switch?

any info would be great

thanks
steve

If you can solder, and can obtain a replacement bulb, then yes it is serviceable. I replaced mine with a 3 mm blue led. The switch comes apart easily. Depending where you live in relation to a scrapyard, you might obtain one relatively easily and cheaply that works, and just change the switch out.

Thanks for the reply, do you have the part number for a stock style bulb by chance?

I tried a couple switches from the wrecker and they are burnt out as well.
