Usually when the motor is bad it will squeal or otherwise make some noise. Frequently the blower fan will be scraping the side of the housing if the bearings are bad. A few have had success by pulling it and lubricating things and putting it back in. If there is any wobble it should be replaced.
Also did you check the connection at the switch as well as the one at the motor. As several have mentioned it can overheat at either end. Add my endorsement to the mention above about cleaning out the evaporator (the are behind where the blower mounts. Use a cleaner like simple green and hose it out good. It is amazing how much crud will come out.
