I just dropped $26.50 on a used pair of matched FCC ID units on eBay. We'll see how they hold up and I'll try to do better at keeping them out of the washing machine.

If these poop out on me I'll try the Boost units.

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

Got them and had to clean up the insides to get them to work but they are working. Range is terrible but has been that way pretty much always. I did take the rear door button off of the broken aftermarket one vs. the trunk version and that worked fine. Overall I’d say it’s worth what I paid for them as a low budget solution but not great.

I just got the Boost key fob for my 96 K1500 and what an improvement over the stock fob. I’d say the reliable range on the Boost unit is 20 feet and it always works. The stock fob works <5% of the time and the range is about a foot.
