That's great looking! Is that steering wheel a direct bolt on? I can't wait to turn my compass mirror into a temp mirror

Hmmmm def like the idea of thinking outside the box with the temp display! I may just snag that trick for the gfs S10 when i put my spare Temp/Compass mirror in that truck.

The actual steeringwheel from a 98+ GMT400, 99-02 GMT800 or 00-03 S-Series trucks is the same. The controls bolt right in and you replace the back trim piece and install the clockspring. Controls are most common on s-series SUVs, 01-02 Denalis and 02 Escalades... There is an install how-to I wrote floating around here.

Thats one heck of a truck!
Thanks!

Yeah only wanted the comp/temp mirror cause i like leaving the mileage/range up instead, using the inside temp is just a bonus.

Hmm, I never thought of making the mirror Comp/temp mirror an inside temp reading.

Sounds like a darned good idea!

I did a little digging, must have been bored/feeling generous...to expand upon this:

All of the GMT-400 that David mentioned (98-02), GMT-800 (99-02), Express/Savana (98-02), S/T-Series (98-05* corrected), and Astro/Safari (98-05).

In true Ma General fashion the part numbers are a diverse mix of "wtf are they thinking", I am NOT going to break down what color/config can be found where, my neuroses only extends so far.

Also, picked this neutral crewcab rear seat up for $80. It was REALLY dirty but came out decent with a pressure washer, simple green and mineral spirits. It'll be going in Dad's 75 Silverado.

What is the purpose of mineral spirits and how do you use it?
