I don't think those blue crimps are factory.. If they are add that to my list of things I haven't seen before.

They are not factory, nor is the tie wrap holding the white wire or others to the bracket.

So it might just be an led light of some sort inside your cluster for all you know.

Yeah I unplugged it from the green wire and nothing changed. So I don't know if the original owner hooked stuff up for his trailer or what. But when it comes out of the firewall it looks like its going towards the back of the truck

I'm still confused as to why anything is wired into the cluster

i have no clue about your cluster situation.

but 1990 454SS (most common) could only come with a 3-Speed THM-400
1991-1993 (less common) came with a 4-Speed 4L80E

So that makes sense why they find have OD. The guy I bought mine from must of taken it out and put a regular one in.
