33's or 35's?

I picked up a set of stock 2011 wheels for my 97 z71 and I also got a leveling kit pretty cheap for it. I've looked around for info but haven't had much luck. What do you think? Thanks. Also here's a pic of my rig.

A leveling kit?? Your going to have to trim quit a bit either way

285's are 33's and you should fit them easily stock.

Yah but usually people refer to 33s they mean x12.5s or wider 285s and usually skinnier

I've been looking at 33x12.50 or 35x12.50. The leveling kit is 3" keys and a small block. I got it cheap so I couldn't pass it up. Chris aren't 285's just a skinnier 33? Also if I'd be able to fit them pretty much stock I should be able to run 35's after I get the kit on? I could see maybe trimming the valance but nothing to extreme?

You will rub on the frame with the stock wheels; if you get wider wheels, you will rub on the fenders and bumper. Those keys will not allow you to crank any higher than you can with stock keys unless you torsion bars are fatigued, the stock keys will crank to the bump stops. Then you will ruin ball joints, tie rods, CV axles, etc if this is your daily driver.

And 285 is the metric width of a tire; a 285/75R16 is roughly a 33x10.50, while a 285/70R17 is about the same.

Changing your keys is gonna be pointless. I am running 35s on nbs wheels with no lift...
