2000 GMC Denali
We are selling our 2000 GMC Denali because we want to buy a travel trailer. We’ve never towed anything larger than our 5x9 trash trailer.
It came factory equipped with;
5.7 Vortec V8
4L60E automatic transmission
Selectable 4WD transfer case including 2hi, 4hi, 4lo and auto 4WD
10 bolt differentials with locking rearend
Leather interior
Heated front and rear seats (we are going to miss those!)
Front and rear A/C
Tinted windows
Bose stereo with a 6 disc changer
It currently has 133K miles and runs beautiful! We bought this for vacations and it served us well. It has been to Chicago last year and to El Centro, CA ( on the Mexican boarder) in 2011. I wouldn’t be afraid to drive this any where.
We have made a few changes in search of MPG. I usually run at 70mph and I usually pull 17-18mpg at that speed. It was getting 13 when we got it! Here is what we did;
Blackbear Performance custom tuned computer (economy)
JBA headers (smog legal) with locking header bolts
Fully replaced exhaust and went to a 3” Magnaflo muffler
MPFI injector spider (the updated one the factory used)
Hi flow intake
Vmax intake plenum spacer
Factory cam for LT4 with roller lifters
Scorpion 1.6 ratio full roller rockers
Cloyes “true roller” matched timing chain and gears
Electric fans (really helped A/C be cold)
Always serviced with Valvoline 5W30 Synthetic oil
Tranny, differentials, cooling system, transfer case, brake and power steering systems were serviced and all fluids changed at 123K miles (right before Chicago)
The bad;
A small separation of the leather on the drivers seat edge
Some water spotting on the clear coat and glass
Somebody backed into the drivers rear corner and broke the plastic trim
Someone stole 2 of the center caps
Bottom line, we will miss our Denali. It has been an excellent vehicle that we have truly enjoyed. It has plenty of power, gets respectable MPG and is comfy on a road trip.
Our asking price is below Kelly Blue book. We are asking $6500 OBO

A test drive already tonight and she wants to bring a friend tomorrow to check it over. She wants it if it checks out with her friend.
