1999 Tahoe Fuel gauge always reading full?

Really? Hell, I thought the cluster was the same. I did forget about the level going through the pcm.

96+ might work but I'm not positive. I don't think it will because of the pcm stuff. A 95 won't though, they had a lot of one year only stuff. My buddy an I have found most of it the hard way since he has a 95 :rofl:

The 95 cluster looked to be the same as the 99 cluster. Did the exact same thing too. Pegged to full, then empty, then full. On the rear looked identical to the 99 cluster except it said 95 c/k truck.

The differences are internal in the wiring/gauge motors themselves.....

I know this post is old, like really old. But just throwing it out there. The bulb housing in the back of the cluster transfer power to the guages. If 1 of the bulb housing isn't making good contact it can throw of the guage also i.e full guage pinned pass full.
