I've let the truck sit on the driveway for the last 5 years and now I am trying to get it back on the road, sand and dirt. I have an extra font diff case with 456 gears I plan to rebuild and install. And a 6 lug 14 bolt rear end that has been sitting in backyard rusting that I plan to work on and install as well. Hopefully if all goes well I will have these in.

The front end is really beat up and needs work. The truck is missing a bump stop on the driver side lift kit below the upper a arm and The alignment is off. I plan to work on these, brakes and hub. Possibly replace the upper and lower ball joints and get some beefy tie rods. Any suggestions on a good place to finds parts? Thanks guys!!

Thanks for the greeting 95C1500

Thank you 94SIERRA4X4 for the great info and discount tip! I went to 4wheelparts today and they gave me a set of stock bump stops. Now I'm trying to get them on without taking anything off but looks like I'm gonna have to remove the tire and use a jack on the suspension.

Here's a pic of the missing bump stop

Heres a little update. I've been wrenching on the truck these past few months.

I started with replacing the worn out upper and lower bushings. I had to torch the old ones out.

I couldnt find any pics but since I had most of the suspension apart, I was able to remove the front diff and take it down to 4 wheel parts and have them install new gears. I went with G2 456 gears. I installed some new MOOG front swaybar bushings, new MOOG inner and outer tierod ends. New Duralast front rotors and brake pads. While I was working on the brakes, I replaced the rear wheel cyclinders and added new drum brakes. i also replaced the old blown shocks with Pro Comp ES9000s. These arent that great so I'm thinking anout buying some bilteins for the front.

I recently took the truck to Hollister Hills. I kept it in 4LOW and found a little mud

Made it back, didn't even have to get gas. Feels great to go off-roading again

I want to install some front tow hooks or a brush guard. tow mirrors and maybe some traction bars.
while I'm thinking about a wishlist, I really want bigger rims and slightly smaller tires. maybe 37 or 36s.
