I had the engine in my 2WD 1994 Silverado 1500 EXT cab rebuilt and I'm thinking that we lost a temprature sensor on the driver's side of the block between the front two mounting points of the exhaust manifold. Can anyone tell me if this open, threaded area of the block is for a temp sensor or just a plug?

Thanks

The temp sensor goes in the driver's side head. The passenger side head is identical, so it has a plug in that side.

Correction, the temp sending unit goes in the driver's side head between the first two exhaust ports, the temp sensor is in the intake. Be careful if you have to buy one, they will try to sell you the wrong one every time :nono:
