1993 GMC "Silverado" 4x4

I had a build thread on the off road build section, but a realized no one can comment/ reply on it so i decided to make a new one here. Mod's feel free to delete that other thread.

Ok I call this thing the GMC "Silverado" because, its a GMC truck with a Chevy Silverado front end. lol

Welp, im finally finding time to work on this thing, so i figured what better time to start a build thread! Here we go!


When i bought it

When i purchased the truck it already had many mods done to it.
-383 stroker (unknown whats in it.)
-built GM goodwrench trans (unknown whats in it)
-GM goodwrench transfer case (unkown whats in it)
-Procomp suspension
-SS front end
-Cowl Hood
-tint
-wheels tires.

well, i brought the truck home and got to work quickly on cleaning, the thing was nasty!

then i put some Nitto Terra Grappler tires on 285-75-16

next thing, i was cruisin around the junkyard and spotted some GT yukon fender flares, sprayed them black (for now)

Then i left it at that for a few weeks. been super busy at work.

Now this brings us to today. I managed to find a few hours and started doing some body work to get it ready for paint.

Sanded down, not completly done but close

Next on the list.
-find a new bed (previous owner went rock crawling..)
-Finish bodywork
-Switch back to a GMC grille, with new lights
-HID's (on the way as we speak)
-Finish the exhaust (currently using turn downs behind cab)
-Get it painted
-All new insides
-ENJOY IT! :D

ok, new updates, bought some HID headlights! no pictures because when i pulled them out of the box to install the builb caught on fire during the initial burn in stage. Gotta call them on monday to get a new set.

Also this weekend, i bought some new wheels for the truck. 16x8.5 MB TKO The guy at discount tire gave me a killer deal i couldnt resist. :D

Looks like you've come a long way already! What color you going with for paint? Or just a re-paint?

Yeah, im moving kinda quickly on this build. I'm just so excited to work on it for some reason! haha! I'll be painting it straight white.

UPDATES!

HID's finally came in! definitely going to get projectors shortly!

Also, i was crusing around the junk yard a few weeks ago and picked up a Compass/Temperature mirror its all wired up and working! (I dont have pictures yet but i will grab some this weekend)

I blew a seal out of the rear end a few weeks ago going through a river so i had that serviced and fixed as well.

haha, me too! im hoping to have some paint on it by the end of next month. But i have a funny feeling this will be an on going project!
