Where is this leak coming from?

I pulled the transfer case (I believe np241?) out of my 92 K2500 because I needed to pull the trans. I was going to replace the input seal and both output seals. I noticed all of the oily buildup on the side of the transfer case. Where would this leak be coming from? Do I need to fix it and if...

1998 push 3 button 1500 stuck in 4low.

someone on reddit told me it's the NP243 t-case , when i decoded the vin on a chevy website it said NP241 but i read online the 243 is just an electric 241 and since i have the push button im guessing it is the 243. options i have are 2hi 4hi and 4lo. nothing else "auto 4x4" etc. had a bad snow...

NP241 Strength?

I have a np241 out of an 89 GMC. I'm wondering how strong it is for what abuse I'm going to use it for. The truck has a 350 that I plan on putting a cam, heads, headers, and intake on, so I'm hoping for around 350-400 crank horsepower or maybe even more. I know I'm going to have to build the...
