97 vortec 305 intermittent low power, poor mpg rough idle in park.
I have a 97 c1500 5.0 vortec it has weak acceleration, poor idle, and horrible mpg. Ive replaced a lot on this engine including all ignition except for the distrutor, and upgraded the injectors to mfi. Still feels the same. Once in a while it will feel better like it has good power again, but...- McSweeney

Expensive trouble shooting
I have a 2000 k2500HD with 7.4 vortec. 3 weeks ago while leaving work, like 5 miles away, I down shifted, nv4500 manual, to get into the on ramp of a highway. Immediate misfire, shaking, sputtering, loss of power, and became a massive fuel dumper as well. No engine light, throwing passenger side...- Steam Engine
