    I'm pretty sure I'm getting third without the locked converter I have3:73 gears and running 55 I'm at 3500 rpm with 285 tires I just don't feel it shift unless I have my foot on the floor

    I really don't think that is the issue because it doesn't even try to shift into 3rd I would think if I needed a rebuild it would shift to third then slip or act up

    I just found out that if I am in od when my trans goes to hit third it just revs to the moon and if I let off the skinny it acts like it is in nuetral and when I am in L2 it acts normal like If I were to downshift

    If you pull your rad cap off with the engine running watch your coolant and see how good it is flowing I had one that I replaced everything trying to figure it out and it ended up being that the rad had gummed up enouph that it would overheat but it was still flowing some just not enouph too...

    Ok I was confused once Dave said its on the right valve cover he made it sound like it was two different parts but the icm is the spark module he refered to correct? I have a spare dizzy in the garage I will be taking the icm from that to get tested as well. Thanks for clearing that up

    That is where I got the instructions for ejecting the pintle and installation instructions. I have a timing light I was going to do it myself and don't worry as I have already said a carb is NOT an option. I am getting the icm tested today but what is the spark module?
