    Ran into the same problem with a truck I picked up at a county auction. It was the injector driver in the ECM. I happened to have a spare ECM with the same part number on it, so I just swapped the prom and it has run like a jewel ever since. Oh, it was a 94 3/4T with a 350. Got it for $200.

    Check out the drill mod the F-body crowd used to do. Theres a restriction built into the hose down to the slave cylinder that restricts the flow just so we cant shift without lifting. Open that up and it reacts just as fast as mechanical linkage.

    For a (relatively) cheap set up, I ran an LT1 cam when I changed over to Vortec heads. Ran an adapter and the stock TBI. Had to change over to roller lifter, and I ran 1.6 roller rockers and that truck ran very well and with a bit of tuning I got better than 20mpg on the highway.

    Im still putting it together. I have to replace my whole fuel system (because I wanted to), and Im doing it in the driveway. Heat in the PNW has been 102-105 for a couple weeks now, so that has slowed me down. But hopefully soon....

    OK, got it on the B/J geometry. But your T/R thing brings up another question. Once you lowered (raised) the spindle with an arm and springs, wouldnt the T/R being under the steering arm be better for bump steer?

    Have a question on the upper B/J. Could you do what the lifted 4X4 guys do and mount the upper B/J under the upper arm to space it down a bit for better geometry? I'm also assuming this doesnt take the place of a lowered spindle, so something like the DJM lowered arms would be required to obtain...

    If its a Vortec, you might have lost intake manifold gaskets. It'll give you a heck of a vacuum leak too...

    I would like to add that there is a cavernous space under the rear ashtrays in the 2dr Tahoes. They have a smaller foot print also, so they would have to be special to the 2dr.

    Yes, I have seen those, and they would work, but I would need a blank in the hole the ashtray is in now to mount it in. Edit:Espacially if there was a circular depression in the blank so that the USB/audio jack mount set flat.
