    Question about factory interior colors

They had four basic trim colors for 1988-1998, Beige/Neutral, Red, Blue, and Gray. I know Blue changed from Dark or Very Dark Blue to Navy Blue around 1994 or 1995. (Anyone know when?). Maybe they added or altered other colors in later years - I'm not certain, but never within the same year...

What is this called and where can I get one?

I tried looking on the AC/Delco site as well as others which is why I need to know the name or part number to try and find it. I've got parts books for 1992-1993 as well as the complete parts software virtual machine covering all of the applicable years from eManuals and I can't find that part...

Ahh, I see, thanks for the clarification @movietvet.

What is this called and where can I get one?

Just to be clear, the metal piece that attaches to the connector is what I need, not the connector or wires. Some of the responses indicate this and some don't. @movietvet I'm not sure what you mean when you say "does not get a ground there" as the ground wire from the sending unit/fuel pump...

What is this called and where can I get one?

Connector C407 where the pigtail from the fuel pump and sending unit plug into the connector at the frame near the gas tank has a metal part on it that I'm missing. You can see it in the picture. It uses the ground screw to keep the connector on top of the frame rail. Is there a part number...

LEDs, Resistors, Flashers - Should I just give up?

That's good you figured it out. If you have any comments to add to post #3 in this thread, please do. It sounds like the very first sentence of post #3 is what you did to solve the problem. Annoying how these circuits are wired in my opinion. Enjoy your LEDs!

LEDs, Resistors, Flashers - Should I just give up?

I'll jump over to your thread and see if I have any insight.

Stuck with Solid blinkers once I added New led corner markers ?

I had/have the same problem with my original 1992 C1500 sockets. I surprised it is not universal. I tried four different bulbs and finally modified the sockets with a cutting edge run around the lip of the socket. See this video for details on how I fixed it.

Fuel Gauge way past Full - How to test wiring at tank?

Thanks for that information Frank. One thing I need to clarify is that my gauge is way past Full AND it never moves.

Fuel Gauge way past Full - How to test wiring at tank?

I have fixed the issue. It was the sending unit. A wire had become disconnected after it's connector broke off. I installed the new Delphi one. I had a bit of a scare when I filled up the tank and the gauge stayed at Empty. I got about a quarter mile from the gas station and it went up to...

Fuel Gauge way past Full - How to test wiring at tank?

I think it is the sending unit in the tank. I just got a new one (Delphi) and will install it this week (I hope). I did a continuity test on the wires using a snap on splicer that bites through the insulation and the wires seem fine. I'm not sure what those splice connection things are...

Fuel Gauge way past Full - How to test wiring at tank?

A simple continuity test would work. I would need to strip the insulation or get some connector that bites through the insulation at the tank end of the pigtail. Did I mention I don't want to drop the tank to test? I think that may happen but I'm trying to delay it. Could I use a multimeter...

Fuel Gauge way past Full - How to test wiring at tank?

1992 C1500 5.7 Ext. Cab The wires from my sending unit to the first connection (C407?) at the frame rail were crushed between the tank and crossmember. How can I test that short section of wire to see if a signal is being sent to the gauge? My gas gauge points to 3:00, way past Full. If I...

LEDs, Resistors, Flashers - Should I just give up?

At one point during all of this, I noticed that warm glow you mentioned and thought, maybe I don't want LEDs. I seriously considered going back to the old bulbs (that I kept of course). Maybe some day.

Is there a mod to run 3157 brake and turn together

Final update: I did not keep the dual light setup after all. The main reason is that I was able to get all of the LEDs working fine (see here) and with two red LEDs in the rear housing, it is plenty bright and I just like the look of the dimmer red tail light on all of the time. Also, I didn't...

LEDs, Resistors, Flashers - Should I just give up?

As Richard says above and Brandon has mentioned in a related post (as well as others), resistors can make things work. I ended up adding a resistor on each side on one of the parking lamp switchbacks on the blue/black wires which is the turn signal/hazard circuit. It didn't work with two...

Is there a mod to run 3157 brake and turn together

OK, here's an update. I moved the incandescent to the lower of the two tail lights (not the reverse light) and moved the LED into the top position and everything works good. Two turn signals, brake lights, and hazards. Plus it fixed my other Side Marker issue mentioned here. The wires are...

Is there a mod to run 3157 brake and turn together

Richard - It looks like your jumpers are going to the existing connectors which would have the top bulb flash (signal or hazard) when the lights are off, and when the lights are on they would not flash because they are already on? Which is what the OP needs. As mention earlier in this thread...

    Restored '92-94 180KMH / 110 MPH cluster

That looks great! Did you do any painting of the markings or needles? I'm thinking about painting the markings on the face but I'm not sure of the proper shades of amber and red. Looking at original needles, I think they were bright orange and just faded over time to a yellow color. Did you...

    Radio Button Restoration

I'm surprised no one is making these for the aftermarket, or at least some decals. After cleaning the buttons and scraping the top layer off, here are before followed by after pictures: To see a bit more on what I did:

Moving mirror and elastic to new sun visors

For my 1992 Silverado, I'm thinking about buying new sun visors from one of the suppliers. They look good and authentic but not the mirrors. https://www.lmctruck.com/1992-99-chevy-gmc/csd-1992-99-sun-visor-set or...

Reinstalling Radio Button Springs - Is it possible?

Thanks for the link. I got these: https://www.superbrightleds.com/catalog/product/view/id/207978/s/neox-led-bulb-high-power-instrument-panel-led/category/2/+color-Natural~3800K+typestore-5mm~T-1~34 They ended up lighting the buttons OK, but they were hard to twist in.

Reinstalling Radio Button Springs - Is it possible?

My technique has been exactly as Brandon suggested, but I'm not having any luck getting those tiny springs to balance on end. Orpedcrow's dielectric grease is a great idea, better than my hot glue idea... I noticed in the picture above that a spring is in fact standing in the orange power...
