    Ok, so I'm trying to identify what type of diff I have in my 1995 5.7 tbi with the 4 speed automatic. Is it limited slip, open or what? I do not see a g80 code it. I do see a gu6 and a ton more. Any help woul be appreciated

    That's a good point, because the truck has been making some noise when turning. And the steering wheel is a little off with play in it when turning too. I'm going to check the fluid tomorrow in it the reservoir. And the fluid again at the bottom to try and find where it's leaking from. The truck...

    I that's when your adding it. I had to add some when I got it. And I've checked it twice since then. It kept pouring out like it was when I filled it up.

    It pours out in a consistent flow when you remove the fill plug. According to Hanes manual, that is how you know it's full. And it smells like diff fluid.

    The guy I got the truck from died. A close friend of the family. He had a scan tool. But they threw alot his tools and stuff away. Honestly I wish had gotten alot of his stuff. Especially if I knew they were going to do that. But I'll definitely look into those suggestions.

    You can't really find a obd1 scan tool. And the one I have will not read odb1. Basically using a jumper wire or something on a odb1 in this truck will give the code. If there was even a code. There's no check engine light. It never triggered one.

    So I have what seems to be diff fluid leaking in the front of my 95 silverado. The problem is the diff fluid level is full. The fluid smells like diff fluid and is clearer in color, and not red like trans. Any idea where it's coming from? Or what I should look for on this truck?
