The Stupid Axle Questions Thread

i just got a 14 bolt but don't know much about it. It has disc brakes and feels like it has a limited slip. so the question is what year did they start to put disc brakes on it and how can i tell what kind of limited slip or locker it has. It's suppose to have 411 but haven't checked that yet...

Can someone get me a driveshaft measure?

Can someone get me a driveshaft measure?

mine was 60 " from the outside of the u joint caps had a 5 speed in it 88 rcsb

Gauge cluster

thanks you that looks like what I'm going to have to do just will have to hook up a battery back up to it.when i figure out what wire feed what i will let you know.

Gauge cluster

Does anyone know what wire goes to what i am putting in a digital gauge cluster and my chilton doesn't show every thing like the right and left turn signal the high beam fuel gauge so if some one can break it down i would be great full.Thank you

Thank you tthe reason is i already had a built 700r4 and the Ls1 is carbed.I have another question does the step side bed weight more or less then a fleet bed thank you

Hello all I have a 1988 reg cab short wheel base truck that came with a 4.3 and 5 speed can anyone tell me about what one of these trucks weight.I'm in the process of dropping in a ls1 with a 700r4.and just would like to know about what this thing weight so i know about what to expect...
