    4x4 FUSE blowing '94 silverado

    I replaced the actuator and it still has the same problem, the fuse blows with in a second of putting it in 4wd. The wires down at the axle all look ok. I unplugged the connector at the xfer case and it does nothing at all. Ideas?

    Hello My '94 Silverado ext cab short box 4x4 is blowing fuses for the 4wd. I can put a jumper in where the fuse goes and the front axle will lock in to get me out of a jam, but the jumper gets red hot and must be removed right away. Its a 25A fuse, I tryed a 30 and it popped right away too...

    What's wrong with the stock CAI? Yes that's right stock. It brings cold air in from outside, unlike some of the chromed out aftermarket kits that suck hot under hood air - actually losing performance.

    Mine does the same thing after replacing the T stat. The guage goes up to 210 then drops way down, over and over. Engine speed has no effect, fan clutch is working, no air bubbles coming out, heater blows hot air. I was gonna pick up a new cap but other than that WTF?

    2 weeks ago I replaced the altenator on my '94 Chev. Then the glove box light stayed on and drained the battery. Fixed light and replaced battery. Now I have 12.6 volts at the battery which is good, running I have 14.7 volts. I've been a Ford guy all my life and 14.3 was always normal...
