    Steering column replacement videos

I do believe so, I’m not sure what the differences are between the columns though. Iirc the older column shared some parts and dimensions with s10’s and square bodies (?) don’t hold me too that information though

Heck yea! It’s no frozen tundra with salt and rust but it gets cold enough. I hate being cold.

Nows a good chance to check the lower bushing also. Wolff engineering makes a really nice replacement. Note: the big grey thing and the disc in my pictures is the steering angle sensor for the EVO system, you won’t have that.

    Steering column replacement videos

I don’t have a video but I can share some photos. When you drop the knee bolster, you’ll see this horizontal bar that has 2 nuts in each end and the black metal plate. Remove those. 2 nuts on top, 2 nuts on the bottom, but I would disconnect the shift cable (pictured on the right hand side)...

That’s not a bad price for the seat upholstery!

    Slight knock?

Aren’t the anti-drain back valves only necessary on the horizontally mounted filters?

    BBK Exhaust Header

The JBA headers have positive feedback from the members here that run them. They’re kinda funky looking. Imagine trying to build equal length runners in a shorty header.

    Confirmed brake bleeding scan tools

Think ill order it, if it doesn’t bleed gmt400 brakes then I’ll at least have a scan tool that will work on what little new stuff I work on. Specifically 2 transit vans with electric parking brakes :doublepuke:

    Confirmed brake bleeding scan tools

I read 2 reviews from GMT400 owners, a 98 and a 99, that said it worked for them. I also found one a little cheaper. https://a.co/d/2kRcY4o

    Confirmed brake bleeding scan tools

It’s frustrating trying to figure what works and what doesn’t. There’s countless post’s scattered around and I just don’t have the cognitive bandwidth to sort through them all.

    Confirmed brake bleeding scan tools

Can we get a list together of scan tools that have been confirmed to activate the ABS modules? I’ve emailed every Chinese scan tool maker I can think of and all have said no, but I know that there are some out there.

I’ve got a 2 door extended cab, nice leather seats with rear egress is hard to find. That looks like a z71 limited seat color? I think @fancyTBI is looking for those lumbar compressors though

Really wish ppl would stop bringing me trucks with hydraulic fluid in trans

I’m on board with this. I hate atf but I hate brake fluid more.

Make sure to save it when you do your service, you can run it as a diesel alternative too.

Yea those rivets holding the door check are mushroomed pretty good, I ground the top on mine off then punched it out. Have you seen Cunningham machine’s door stuff yet?

I think I’ll put rotella in my transmission next time I drop the pan. Maybe upgrade to the deep pan for increased capacity, but keep the short filter so it doesn’t suck up all the junk in the bottom.

Flaming River Rack & Pinion Kit

That’s pretty neat, I swear I’ve seen another one somewhere but could’ve been for c10/20 stuff.

    Drunkcanuks build...... finally!!!

I grabbed a universal rag joint repair kit, probably marketed for a 70’s model something or other, from a green parts house about 6 years ago. Drilled and ground the rivets out of mine and replaced them with bolts. The kit came with the rubber/fiber/leather donut thing and the weird looking...

That’s terrible service! I’ve had the best experiences with crutchfiled lately. Don’t know if they service the great white north. Sonic electronix is another I’ve used several times with no issues and good customer service. Both places hire folks from the industry that are knowledgeable and up...
