    No, mine is in the truck, but I always thought it was a good spot for a large spare. Granted I am 6'6" tall so it is easier for me than most to handle loading the roof rack. If you had a rack you could always lock it to that...?

    True, I'll have to get under there tomorrow and check the electrical connections. By then I should have reset the encoder motor, if that even works.

    No 4WD. Normally I get the initial flash, that shows the buttons work, then all lights are off. When you hit a button nothing happens, no lights and no sounds. When I do the jumper I see the above code(s).

    Any input I can get is appreciated. I don't need 4wd for a few more months but figured I would start working through the problems while I was doing other stuff on the truck. With my luck I will need the Encoder and the TCCM and I will have replaced everything minus the wiring.

    I think I am going to take this opportunity to clean the TB, IAC, EGR, and MAF. I am also planning to replace the PCV along with the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. I will do the O2s sometime soon as well. That should give it a pretty good tune up and cover all the big major things.
