Some help with engine choice and build

I’m using a ‘97 K2500 truck to move my work trailer around. Jobs average 1-2 hours away and the trailer weighs roughly 13k lbs. I have a 70’s(I think) 454 that I’m seriously considering building up to replace the 5.7 that is in the truck now. I’m not very knowledgeable on the ECM’s or anything...
