Shift Column Mechanism Problems (Repeatedly)

Hello guys, I'm kind of new here so I'll do the best I can to explain my problem & hopefully someone will be able to pass me the knowledge I need to be able to fix this truck. So heres the deal, I own a 99' Chevy K1500 4x4 and I keep having problems with my shifter breaking off of the dash...

Column gear shift selector broken!

Hey Richard, don't mean to bother you but Ive been having this shift column mechanism problem for about 3-4 years now. My problem is, the three screws that go into the actual shift column mechanism... one of the threads that it screws into is broken. Do you know of any possible solutions for this?
