Thanks for the great info planning on doing this mod on my 94 Z71. Do you know if your mod kill the ilumination on the EQ/cassette player? Want to have it illuminated even though I'm not using it. Well the cassette lights at least I do want to use the eq.

Best speakers for stock radio?

Hey guys thinking about replacing my speakers as well. Has anyone thought about replacing the OEM speakers with aftermarket and just adding a power resistor to bring up the load, ie. from 4 ohm to 10 ohm. It would seem its counter productive but you might improve the highs with the integrated...
