5.7l tbi connector. NEED HELP IDENTIFYING

Looks like your AC high pressure switch. It's on the back side of the compressor. Looks like it's right below your fingers in picture #2

    Suburban down.

Hmm. Do you have access to a scanner with live data? How about checking the wires that go to the ICM?

    Suburban down.

So a P1351 has to do with irregular voltage within the ICM. I would start by checking power and ground at the ICM and possibly check resistance as well(I don't know what the value should be). I'm assuming your truck is 96+ correct? I've personally never experienced any issues with the ICM on...

If that was a joke then it flew right over my head lol

    Large GMT400 Meet

No. I wasn't planning on announcing that I was going to be down there until I came across this post. I tagged HWB because I know that he/she(?) lives in the Houston area and would be the most likey one to meet up. I don't know of anyone other member that lives in the Houston area.

A way to diagnosis moonie gauges?

Is there a way to diagnosis the actual motor for each gauge? I swapped out my cluster on my 89 K1500 with a donor from an 88 and it's the same story as my original cluster. Speedometer doesn't work(actually stuck at 35) and fuel gauge doesn't work either. Tomorrow I'm going to drive it while...

    It's running and driving!!

    Daily truck pics

It's been like that since I've had the truck. But it does move around based on engine load, temp etc. Usually drops to about 40psi when stopped.

Thank you! If you put your rear axle on jack stands and put your truck into drive, it will eventually reach that. Make sure you choke the front wheels.

Tbi no injector pulse and or tbi removal

Oh I was furious with myself when I saw that the fuse was blown...

Tbi no injector pulse and or tbi removal

Check fuses. Especially the IGN fuse. Don't be like me and spend two months hunting down a weird electrical issue, when the fuse was blown the entire time.

    Tbi fuel pressure

The tbi sits ontop of a spacer. Looks like I'll have room to see the gauge. I'll find out tomorrow. Might need a step stool to install it though... No, it's to enter cheats to get the truck to run correctly.

    Tbi fuel pressure

Changed the fuel pump relay and it been starting everytime without delay over the last week. Still burning ALOT of fuel(I can smell it in the exhaust). I think the distributor may be off a tooth. I'll check on that at another time. Also, thanks to @PlayingWithTBI, I got this idea to do...

    Tbi fuel pressure

Yeah I've seen the adapter that can be placed between the inlet and tbi. But I'm not going through the effort of installing a vfpr and spring since I'll converting soon. Say what you want, but a carb would fit the character of this truck better. And more to the point, I'm tired of all the efi...

    Tbi fuel pressure

I rebuilt the tbi unit last year and used everything in the kit(smp). Is there a way to test pressure at the regulator? Would a vortec pump benefit me in any way, especially when I do the carb swap?
  19. VIKING_MECHANIC

    Tbi fuel pressure

And that's coming from the pump correct? Sounds like the pump took a sh*t then.
  20. VIKING_MECHANIC

    Tbi fuel pressure

I swapped out the fuel pump relay with one we had in the shop, and it started right up everytime over about a 1 hour span. Although that could've been a coincidence. @PlayingWithTBI about a month ago I did the fuel pressure check(before I knew the IGN fuse was blown), and I had 9psi. Shouldn't...

    Tbi fuel pressure

    How do I do that?
  22. VIKING_MECHANIC

    Tbi fuel pressure

The fuel pressure is 9psi, although that's with KOEO, I haven't checked with it running yet. IIRC, I've had this labored cranking since the summer when I put the engine in the truck, although it was less pronounced. I'm pretty sure it's because the timming which I need to re-evaluate here soon...
  23. VIKING_MECHANIC

    Tbi fuel pressure

But shouldn't it build pressure and hold it for a few seconds with key on before it depressurized ?
  24. VIKING_MECHANIC

    Tbi fuel pressure

Okay but if I just immediately turn the key on, it will have a what feels like a labored crank before it finally starts(10+seconds). If I cycle the key several times, it will immediately start.
