Did you verify that the front axle actuator is working? Pull it out and see if the Piston moves

Need more heat

I was just thinking that might be where your possible air in the system is coming from. Especially since you have gone through it and replaced a lot of components. Do you have a funnel with the radiator cap adapters? Those help alot

Did you ever pressure test or use a block tester on the cooling system? The temperature fluctuation and no heat makes me think head gasket.

Fuel filler hose replacement

Do you have any tips at getting to the hose clamps on the vent and fill hose? They both seem to be pointing up toward the bed

Thanks for the reply. Sorry to hear about your tank. I've got a similar leak on the vent and fill hose on my 98. I figured I would replace the filler neck and hoses before I condemned the tank
