I am wanting a long block to swap out and do my motor later this year. So who would have the best quality rebuilt to put in. I already know for around 6.5k I can buy a new long block from GM.
7.4 454 L29.
Has anyone done this or seen it done. Found a nice set, love the console a lot more. I have a 2015 and would love it in my 1999 K3500 short bed dually.
Well first things first. Put a fuel gauge on the port in front of the intake manifold. It could have been the fuel pressure regulator to begin with. If not enough pressure, you need to test to figure out what is bad. Test is in the book. A mis-fire when it hits bad enough, will through a code...
So I had a 1998 with a pretty serious lift kit on it. I do not know the brand, but the fronts had triple shocks on it, back double. I will post some pics. Does anyone have a clue where to get such a setup? The block on the sides say Pro Comp.
Thank you. I wish I would have saved myself the day and checked back here, but I did figure that out. Of course it was a broken one also....lol I did pick up a tan one, now need to figure out plastic painting I guess.
Just picked up this 1999 K3500 crew cab Short Box. Hard to find for sure. I missed 3 of them in the last few years. too late, did not bid enough, etc. We are getting it back to close to stock operating condition, then come on with the Custom adds.
Stupid Question - Where would I find a rear valance (top piece where the back dome light mounts) on a 1999 K3500 crew cab in grey. I was really stupid and broke it when nothing was wrong with it. Had been looking a LMC etc and they don't do crew cab parts.
I have and have had several GMT400's. I just picked up a rare 1999 Crew Cab short box K3500. Been looking for a long time. I thought the 99's and 00's were different.
I would like to know what is the same and what is not from 98's.
