Best Brakes?
Hawk LTS pads with Hawk sector 27 brakes if you are looking at keeping the stock braking setup. I drove up/down the Cajon Pass in california to and from work daily for years with that setup and it performed better than regular over the counter part stores brake pads you could get. Lowered Laws?
lol, never mouth off and say they need to get laid. That's an automatic ticket in California. California has a provision for any modified suspension, but it never really gets used unless for pulling over the super low riding 90's Honda's with alignment problems due to the lowering. LED...- bjett

Choosing exhaust system
I have a 95 t.b.i. 350, don't know which engine you have. I burned out my cats here in California, and my headers didn't seal the best and I have to pass smog so I rebuilt the system. Bilstein 4600 shocks
I can't speak for a 1" crank. I have a 2.5" torsion key in there and (of course) the Bilsteins wouldn't work when I installed that. Currently running Rancho 7000's with Bilstein 4600s in the rear. Anybody ran Rancho 7000s in the rear? How do you like them?- bjett

Steering box options
I would also like to know where you got the new OEM box? I haven't been able to find a new box. But I just installed a reman box from napa that was great while installing a new rag joint at the same time and the cognito motorsports kit.- bjett

Can I run 33's without lift
I have a 95 tbi 350 z71. My dad had 305/70/16s on it when I got it with a little crank and no rub. I put 285/75/16s on (they were cheaper) and didn't have a rub. I have since put centerline wheels on with the same 285/75/16 ko2 tires and replaced the torsion adjuster with a 2" lifted one...- bjett

Reliability
honkob, I would never buy a truck from a sheriff's department. I work for san Bernardino county and see our chevy Colorado's fail with blown engines or trannys by 120k. We are hard on our work vehicles and they get beat on. The engine oil gets changed sometime around every 5k miles, but...- bjett

Larger alternator for 2 12"s?
I own a 95 k1500 z71 with the tbi 350. Inside I have an alpine radio hooked up to the alpine 445 in-line amplifier, required a 15 amp fuse. It powers 4 6.5" polk marine speakers for my mids/highs. In the back I have a Rockford Fosgate p1000x2 amp powering 2 10" subs in an under the seat box...- bjett

CV Axle Help
Did you figure it out? I tried putting ABS axle shafts in my 95 K1500 when I rebuilt it because I have the abs box but figured out my hubs did not have the connection ring and abs sensor on them so they wouldn't fit. Easy way to tell is to look at the inside of the hub where the ring gear...- bjett
