    The Stupid Lift Questions Thread

Well, I have had a major change in plans. Looks like I am sticking with stock ride height and 265 tires. My boys mom put the brakes on our lift plans. I now have a Zone 6" lift and a set of Goodyear Wranger 285/75R16 for sale if anyone is interested. PM me if so.

Good info, looks like bds and fabtech are 6" only. I will check out procomp and super lift. My plan is to change out the tierod ends, and sway bar links during the install. I dont have a press for the rest. Can RCX, PC, or superbe aligned at any shop?

No crank on the t bars, I was trying to avoid it. He told me I should go with zone because hes never had any complaints on installs. Is there a good 4" lift out there that will keep good line up?

    Rear end question

Thanks, the RPO codes are hard to make out due to wear but I'm pretty sure its says GU6. Im hopping I don't have to swap out the gears to run the 33's.

    Rear end question

First post here, I'm trying to figure out what gears I have in the rear end. Glove box says GU6, 3.42 but the rear end is stamped GM4... what gives? Also, its a 14 bolt but does have the square sides like others I've seen on this site. Help identifying would be appreciated. Its a 91 k1500 ex cab...
