    yes i am aware of that, i am also aware of the f44 rpo code for half tons which received the semi floating 14 bolt, extra leaf springs, larger brakes front and rear with hd front hub assemblies. and yes you could get the 4.3 in 2500s but not 3500s.

    14 bolt help! Small hole in tube

    Thanks for all the replies, the tube was pitted and pretty thin but I ended up welding the hole closed and used quarter inch plate that I welded and bent around the tube to reinforce where the metal had corroded. I def plan on using one of those u bolt reverse kits now

    I finally bought a 14 bolt today for 120 bucks. I plan on rebuilding it, but I found a problem while wire brushing rust, there is a 1/8 inch hole in the tube where the old shackles rubbed the tube. What do I do now and has anyone else had this problem?

    If I were you I would just get the f44 heavy duty chassis rotors, they are thicker then the normal 1500s and they will work with the f44 calipers which have the 2 15/16 pistons.

    Cab corner problems and solutions

    That seems like a really good idea. I've sprayed wd40 in the small drain slit but it was just to far gone. It was my dad's truck that he bought brand new in 1991 and I'm doing the best I can to fix it up. Anyway I've also wondered why the rockers have the drain plug holes that are sealed up.
