I feel like a weeny, I'm hot and tired after working outside today and it's only 86 now, but it was supposed to be 90 today (probably was earlier). The humidity is 51%.... which isn't as bad as I thought, so maybe it's dropped a bit.

I roto-tilled the garden that I should have planted long ago, and worked on Saturn brakes today..... hard line, hose, and caliper. The pin was seized so bad I twisted the pin right off. I still have to do the other side, but that's going to wait.... it's driveable now.

You probably actually need that extra fan, where you are. I think the last time mine came on, was when I was low on coolant due to a leak.
I'm not even running a fan shroud right now. The temp goes up at stop lights, but not enough for me to worry about.

We'll see who's laughing when that thermometer is on the other far end.

Well mission accomplished, instead of trying to figure out where ,why, what they did when they reworked the harness involving that sensor I just cut the wires on the fan before the plug and rewired them reversed, blue to black and black to blue. Fan runs the correct direction now pushing ouside air thru the radaitor. Will it make a big difference,I don't know but It cant hurt.
Oh yeah Pete, gonna hit 114' they say, too friggin HOT but better than a few years ago on the 4th.

Yes it will.
Think of it like this. Say the fan had been pushing the air forwards at say, 20mph. Then at 20mph road speed the air flows are competing and the air flow through the rad will cease. No cooling at that speed. Also, and especially at higher speeds, the fan motor is being over worked. Properly set up, at decent road speeds it should almost be acting like a wind turbine and putting electrical current back into the system - or freewheeling at least.
Even stationary it would have been competing with the main mechanical fan. It helps when everything is pulling (or pushing) in the same direction!

Yeah it's already 112 right now. I worked in the shop for 3 hours this morning building cabinets and decided to come in, cool off and watch some Indy and NASCAR racing. Glad you got your fan working right, I hope!

It's a dry heat, LOL. Right now our humidity is ~21%

Here ya go pete ole boy, this helps my garage be tolerable

I got the answer Pete old boy, got me one of these units last year and it makes my garage real comfortable in the summer. I got the biggest one they offer cause my garage is 1300 sq ft with an odd shape, it keeps it nice even in this unGodly heat

Those mini splits are coming down in price, too. Been thinking of one for my garage but we'll be selling in a few years and it would be overkill for my 400 sq/ft lame ass suburban garage. The wife keeps the house 74-76 and I need somewhere to escape and be comfy.

Mine was pricey imho but then what price happinessI ask you. If you live there for say another 3 years is not that time lost being miserable, I am in my garage a lot and I am so sorry I didnt do this many years ago !!!
Plus for a garage that sive you could get a much smaller unit= lower cost plus dont forget they heat also and it does get chilly here.
All in all a smart decision for me at least

Nice! Even though I have solar, it would be cost prohibitive to insulate and cool my 1800 Sq Ft shop with 12' eaves, shoulda gone bigger, LOL. I thought about getting a big swamp cooler (evaporative cooler for you northerners) but the addition of moisture and woodworking don't mix very well. I have lots of fans, I sweat, they cool me off. I'll go out for ~3 - 4 hours until it gets up over 100 inside then go in and do something else. We keep the house ~79* which is comfortable for us and my electric bills are ~$35/Month.
