Truck looks great from the pics at least, and for that price you got it for a steal! Hopefully the problem won't get worse because if it only plays around with overdrive, it won't bother ya in daily driving... Let's hope you find the problem and get it fixed, I'd start with checking the tranny sensors and solenoids, but could be anything really, there's too damn much electrics that are tied to one another :(

nice! havent really seen any other combos like that! now that ive seen the tow mirrors im going to be okay with pulling the trigger on a set! and OD works amazing once you lock in it place with cruise. just seems very finnicky on which gear itll be in before it locks in

threw a different pedal and TPS assembly on and it didnt fix the issue... trans shop says sounds like its under fueling and falls on its fact, certified diesel shop says try TPS and factory ECM then get back to them if im still having issues

Is it not locking or not going into 4th? If not locking, try lifting the brake pedal while driving and see if it doesn't work.

It had 3rd and fourth, just couldn’t decide which gear it wanted though. Would lock in either gear, then would down shift into 2nd oddly enough at high speeds too. I reverted to stock ecu, same issue. But then I got an overboost code and trans pulled a B solenoid open code, put the heath ecu back in and took away the overboost code but not the trans code, so now I’m stuck only having 1st and second. So I’m guessing/praying the 3/4 solenoid has been garbage this entire time and that’s what was causing the issue. New solenoid/filter and gasket are on order from amazon though should be here next week. 51 CAD for both shipped. The trans shop or any other shop wanted 250-400 for the job and there’s no way I’m up for that when it’s something I can just do

Could be that, could be the harness too. More likely to be the solenoid I bet.

yea I’ll have a good look at the harness too it looked in really good shape externally. I’ve also found a used working order 4l80e with 100,000 less km then mine for 300 bucks with the converter so I may just opt for that if the solenoid doesn’t fix it

pulled the air filter tonight.... completely plugged up with mud and dirt.... another contributing factor to shifting issues? very well possible...
