What type of fuel economy do you guys get towing? I pulled the cats and have it simulated so no check engine light and it all seems to run well but this thing is just a horrible pig on gas!! We averaged 6.5 mpg pulling a 4k lb jeep on a 2k lb trailer through a mix of hills and flat ground 99%...

I was wondering about actual weight on the camper, my buddy just bought a ten footer we put on a 28 foot goose and the tag said 1,800lbs full of water,propane and 75lbs of ice in the fridge is where my guesstimate came from on weight.

I'm surprised also at the 3:73's, I think that I'm going to just use the gooseneck and wait on the camper until I can get a bigger truck to handle it easily. So far I love this truck and plan on keeping it after I get a diesel since it's paid off.

No sir, it's an 8 lug heavier 2500 gvwr with the 4l80E. It's got the big brakes and they are all new on it also.

The tunes aren't that bad no but with new tires all around on the truck this weekend, two on the wife's car and 4 on the trailer before our trip in two weeks it's a little out of the budget until the play money gets built back up. I was just hoping to have a fast cheap solution before dragging...

That's a good idea on the mini cat, worth trying at least for sure. I figured it might help me get some milage back after removing them. I just can't stand a check engine light and don't wanna have it on but custom tunes aren't in the budget for a couple months yet.
