So I just shipped back the magnaflow cat system and went to the muffler shop for an estimate.
$750 from LT headers into the dual in muffler. Stainless 2.5 inch pipe with two high flow cats.
So you get a 2.75 inch pipe but it is choked at the manifold. Makes no sense!!!
I wonder if I get those pacesetter LTs if I should get that 1 ton cat system anyway or just build my own with a header back kit and two high flows cats
Ok, just realised I need to be looking at K3500 trucks. Just need to check the front (Walker 50454) and back (Walker 50316) parts will fit under my stubby 2 door Yukon.... if they do I'm good, but the cost is getting closer to a custom exhaust.
Supercharged111, I will check the U-pulls if they...
Any chance you have a part number for those? I looked at Rockauto and there a re a bunch by Walker and another made by Borsal, but no pipe sizes are listed. should I assume they are all 2.5?
Nobody posts what size their pipes are, I have been looking through rockauto at K2500 cat kits and its all a guess...
Maybe the jegs off road can be used, and then weld in some highflow cats?
Thanks for all your replies! So yeah it is heading back.
I do want to keep cats and all my 4 sensors. I already have a big magnaflow muffler with 2.5 dual in and 3 inch out. I’d like to keep that.
I was also trying to avoid a custom exhaust due to the high cost.
Suggestions are welcome! Thanks
Hi Everyone, posting this question here as well as the tahoeyukon forum.
Is anyone running 300+ hp through 2 inch down pipes?
I have a 97 Yukon with the MPFI upgrade and just recently the 0411 pcm with the Vortec express van tune. what a difference that made! increased mpg by 3 and the engine...
Hi All, I have a chance to get a deal in the 151 cam, but was planning on a 395. The dyno chart I see on the 151 doesn't show off idle performance. Is it similar or better than 395 for torque? This is an occasional boat tow and fun driver. Mpg is important. I have the delphi spider bigger...
