Why partial defrost?
Second time the HVAC box is out. Troubleshooting warm defrost only in driver's side. All actuators been replaced. And with the defrost flap being a single flap, I'm not understanding it. Plenty warm out driver's side. Box is completely clean. ??????- Wine Hill

Defrost problem again
Ok east302, update. It is blowing the same amount of air, but driver side hot, cold on passenger. Definitely feels like no loss of air flow either way, and don't feel any air movement around or under dash. Everything still feels right and secure. Pypes Turbo Pro
Has anyone installed these on their 5.7. Don't really want to spend the money for dual cats, but just would like to quiet it down. -

Like I said, was working fine when installed it all together. But now the heavy dew in the mornings, I tried it out. Pretty much the same result from where I started. Yes I'm getting plenty I warm air to the driver's side, but hardly anything to passenger side, and that air has no warmth to...- Wine Hill

1998 k1500. I had finished the complete rebuild of my HVAC box due to defrost only blowing hot on driver's side. Was working fine after install and first couple months testing it. Now all of a sudden it doing it again. I replaced all actuators, blower resistor, and has all new heater core...- Wine Hill

Doing a rebuild on this HVAC box. And going to replace actuators, flaps,doors, ect. Looking for a site that possibly breaks down step by step. Or is anyone aware if the Chilton's manual does that for me. Just starting the project.- Wine Hill

Weak heat
Any suggestions? Replaced multiple items-- heater core and cleaned lines, new blower motor, replaced to a 195° thermostat again for 2nd time. But still not getting much heat. Still trying to troubleshoot defrost blowing out of 1 side, but all other vents working properly, but still not much...- Wine Hill

1998 chevy k1500
Other than the missing tag, and other than opening up cover, is there any way to identify visually the rear axle gearing ratio? Meaning a way to differentiate if gearing is 3.73 or other? Just installed reman transfer case. Binding in 4wd. So I immediately stopped and back in on jack stands...- Wine Hill

Quiet down chevy
In my 1998 k 1500, with no cats, any suggestions on the quietest mufflers, it does have duals. Any results in the Pypes turbo pro. Currently reviewing those, but any other suggestions. Thanks
