    What RPM do you run?

I checked my RPO code and if it's still accurate, the GU4 code is for 3.08 rear diff. That does make the calculator alot closer to what I'm actually seeing. Thanks for the help.

    What RPM do you run?

That is very cool. It has 3.55 already entered for the rear end. Is that right for the stock rear diff on an 88 c1500? If so, the calculator says I should be running 2667 rpm at 65, but my tach shows roughly 2400 rpm. Maybe that's just inaccuracy in my tach.

    What RPM do you run?

I recently bought an 88 c15 which has a broken speedo. I have an aftermarket tach installed that has an adjustable marker arrow on it, so I have put the marker at the rpm the engine is running when I'm doing 65 on the highway, as a speed reference. The only thing is that I have a Turbo 400...

    Need some speedo help

Sorry it has taken so long to get back with you. Before I installed the pulse generator I hooked a meter to it and it put out a voltage as I spun it. After that, I checked for continuity in the twisted pair up to the plug at the back of the gauges. And tried swapping the wires, with no luck...

    Need some speedo help

I picked up my 88 C15 with a Turbo 400 transmission installed. The tranny has the cable speedo port and the truck has an electronic speedo. After talking to my tranny guy, I picked up a pulse generator that screws into the cable speedo port on the tranny and generates the pulse that the vss...

How to remove engine noise from my subwoofer

The ground wire to the amp is thick, but not nearly as thick as the power wire. I have one of those Monster cables that are about as thick as your thumb. I thought that if I disconnected the rca's from the HU and the noise stopped, that would rule out the rca's, and everything with the amp...

    Keyless entry question

So, I got the whole thing working by using 2 basic DEI 610T relays I had on hand from old ideas. It works with the clicker and the regular interior pushbuttons, along with locking the doors automatically when I start driving and unlocking automatically when I turn off the truck. If anyone is...

How to remove engine noise from my subwoofer

Ok, thanks for all the advice. I went out today and did some ruling out. I powered everything up, but kept the volume down, so all I could hear was this rumble in the subwoofer. I unplugged the rca's from the amp and the rumble went away. Strangely enough the rumble is about twice as loud on the...

    Keyless entry question

I was looking at one of those online and it has a 5 pin molex plug to connect to the main module. My Viper's main module doesn't have a 5 pin plug. It's door lock/unlock plug is a 3 pin with 2 wires coming out of it. How does the 451m work in that case? Also, I read that the 451m has 2 relays...

How to remove engine noise from my subwoofer

Yeah, I've got my wiring pretty simplified. Main power in a big cable straight from the battery. The switched power tapped off the fuse box and the ground bolted to the floor with one of the seat mounting bolts.

How to remove engine noise from my subwoofer

When my amp/sub is on, it rumbles from the rpm of the engine. It adds some rumble to my motor, but it's annoying. So, when I turn on my head unit, it turns on the amp by remote and with the volume on the head unit turned all the way down, as soon as the amp comes on, you can hear the engine in...

    Keyless entry question

I added a Viper Keyless entry/ Security system. I got everything to work except for the main reason I bought it, the keyless entry. It has a 2 wire plug (1 blue and 1 green wire) that sends the door lock and unlock pulse. Looking at how the power door lock switch is built, I'm not...

    Speedo Question

So, I got the speed sensor conversion that screws into the cable port on the tranny and has a pair of wires to connect to the VSS wiring. I spent a couple hours digging around to try to find the vss wires but had no luck. I did the usual google search and found a couple different schematics...

    Broken manual lock switch fix

I was looking into why the interior door lock/unlock manual slide doesn't work and found that everything inside the door was good with one exception. The rod end that goes into the back of the manual switch is slipping out of it's hole because the retainer clip that is built into the back of the...

    Speedo Question

So what's the solution? Is there some sort of adapter module for using the speedo cable tranny with an electronic speedo?
