Had the same problem. No blinkers, hazard’s or brakelights. The Stopfuse was blown. Fixed all but the blinkers. Replaced blinker-relay. Still no blinkers. Maybe multi function switch?! All this happened after a shop welded on my truck without disconnecting my battery Anyone have an idea?
Now it's working! All but turn-signals. Have changed out the blinker-relay (standard electronic relay) and turn-fuse without success.
Hazards, brake lights works perfectly and the brake-lamp on the dash is gone. Gone through almost all wiring, grounds and bulb-holders. The stop fuse was blown...
Turn signal switch has come up a few times. Seems like that could be it. The question is - could welding on a car without disconnecting the battery cause damage to the turn signal switch? They admitted to me they did not disconnect. All lights worked fine when I delivered the car at the shop...
No fusebox under the hood on the 89. Only under the dash. Have not checked the fusible links under the hood yet though. Don´t know exactly where they go. Would like a wiring diagram. Have been searching on the net.
No blinkers, hazards or brake lights. Reverse/back-up light working randomly. Happened after a shop welded in a new muffler without disconnecting the battery. Checked fuses, grounds and changed blinkers relay. No clicking. Checked wires going to the rear lights.
Maybe a long shot - maybe someone know? Having some electrical trouble on my 89 Silverado and I found this 5 amp fuse in the glovebox. Have to check all possibilities. It's much smaller than ordinary fuses. Under 1/2 inch.
