    Best rear springs for towing

I was at work the other day moving some boats around with my K1500 4 x 4 Suburban. I noticed my rear springs were compressed quite a bit. I don't know much about towing, balancing loads and all that kind of stuff but I will need to start soon. I am picking up a 26 foot day boat. Should I...

NBS rear disk swap into a 95 K1500 Suburban

So a small update, I need to replace the pads in the rear end and went to Checker to grab a cheep set. I ended up getting 2001 pads to put in it, so I guess I put a 2001 pickup rear end in my Burb. Still running great, but its time to pull off the tires and check for any signs of wear.

NBS rear disk swap into a 95 K1500 Suburban

Thinking back on what I did, I was woefully unprepared. I got the rear end, and slammed it in in a weekend. I didn't have to change anything, even the old flex-able break line was a good fit. I did get lucky, but I do know how to wrench so that helped. I looked at all the disk conversions out...

I was putting 100+ miles a day on the road, So I wanted something comfortable. I went with the Mercedes E 320. Runs great, not to say she hasn't had her own problems. EGR valve, battery, fuel pump, lower ball joints, motor + trans mounts. Regular things that go out....

NBS rear disk swap into a 95 K1500 Suburban

So, I have had my 1995 Suburban for 15 years, second owner. After driving 100 miles a day to work a few years back when gas was only 2.50 a gallon, I heard a loud BANG! Followed by a speed bump ( on the freeway). I milked it home the last few miles and parked it and inspected. I found a 1 inch...

    Upgrade Front Brake Calipers

My 1996 5.7 K1500 Burb is getting its second life. I have vacuum assist and anti-locks that are still stock. I need to get the brakes sorted out. I have already swapped a NBS rear end out of a 1500 pickup to get disks in the back. I am going to put Stainless brake lines front and rear, but after...

    steering wheel stereo control

Yea, bluetooth wasn't around back then and I don't really like the remote control units that just attach to the wheel that I have seen online. I don't see many full size blazers around in the junk yards, I guess I can search ebay and the usual places to see whats available. My steering...

    steering wheel stereo control

Has anyone ever mounted a steering wheel that can control the stereo controls, volume, song playback, radio station, or the ability to answer the phone? I miss the functionality of my Mercedes. Its much safer then reaching for the dash mounted unit. Maybe a later model wheel could be mounted...
