It won't make it go faster, but I replaced all the interior light bulbs with LEDs. Much brighter and whiter light. Another upgrade is the cab mounted bed- there are aftermarket replacements that use a portion as a high mounted brake light.

A fresh set of leaf springs and a set of Bilstein 4600 shocks will have you thinking you accidentally bought a new truck. Normally, when we talk about springs, it’s mods or lift kits. But they are a wear item and new, factory springs will give your old horse new life.
I put an EP381 in my 1989 K1500. It works like it’s supposed to. While I was at it, I got a 20% coupon from jc whitney, so I threw in a new tank and replaced the straps & hardware with new stuff. Hopefully, we’ll be okay for another 30 years.
One of my favorite parts of my (then) new ‘90 1500 was the unique sculpted seat design. Leather wasn’t an option on trucks then, so fancy cloth was the choice. When it wore out, I had no option other than to cover it with a vinyl prefab that looks like a work truck. It would be hard to justify...
This just arrived in the mail! This is an I.P. From a 1991 Chevy and it’s going in the 1989 K1500 that I’ve had since new. It turns out, this year I.P. Is pretty hard to come by. It’s supposed to work, but I’d like to get it freshened up. Does anyone recommend a rebuild service?
