Just so y'all know you can speak to me a as technical a manner as you see fit. In my younger days I was well trained in electronics privately and fine furniture making in Danish modern in high school, along with all the shop classes. I was the Northern California warranty repair station for Yamaha Electronics Co. at a little place in Susanville Ca. during the mid 80's to the mid 90's. Interested in electronics at a young age and taught the basics by an old Navy tech in my early teens. Then, right out of high school. Handpicked and mentored by an engineer for 6 years every day but Sunday. He taught me everything from TTL circuit design, digital, HF circuit design topology, to device design and manufacturing. And the physics and chemistry of it all as well. During that time he sent me to Yamaha and I trained with their Natural Sound engineers for two years. Then got picked by Alpine Electronics to help write and edit the Global Alpine Institute of Technology certification study manual for their mobile electronics installer certification program. All the while sharpening my interior fabrication skills out in the install bay doing some of the most custom work you've ever seen.(I have since kept up my electronics training and fair at code too). Yeah I'm a nerd. Started young and got burned out and had a child to raise so I went in my father's footsteps and became a carpenter. (Prevailing wage helped that decision) But I really love preserving historic buildings here in the City. Raised in a home full of antiques gave me an appreciation for such things. Having a father born in 1919 raised in the depression and a blue oval hot rod fanatic from back in the day when they invented it. And me having been born in 1966 raised out in the country 15 miles from town in a hot rod builders paradise of a shop. Built in the 80's My 74 Mercury Capri with a 289 / twin progressive 500 cfm quads / 4 spd 2.78:1 gears has its own chapter in the Highway Patrol Training Manual. Thank God nobody ever got hurt and all I ever did was drive way too fast. Dad wore out his shoulder cutting rafters in the 40's 50's and 60's so by then he was fabricating missing parts for 30's Fords from memory, building swapped hot rods and driving truck hauling mobile homes. We didn't have a lot of money so you better know how to fix it or make it yourself and he trained me well. He was a drill Sergeant in WWII so I had THAT kind of upbringing.
