    OK, this plug has really thrown me a curve ball. I snipped off the connector from my original 96 harness. Pins A and F are not the colors indicated in the service manual, also they change even more going from one plug end to another. All other plugs match up fine, I am stumped..

    I made a mistake in my previous post, C204 is not the right plug for the smaller 10 pin plug. The colors do not match with the letters. I will find the right one from the book and report back. Also, to answer 1998_k15_subs question, the vehicle is not subject to emissions testing.

    If I was swapping a gasoline engine I would have wrote that in to begin with. This is strictly a Diesel 6.5 motor and transmission swap with the exact same motor and transmission 3 years newer.

    Swapping 1996 motor and tranny (6.5 Diesel) for a 1999 motor and tranny (6.5 Diesel) The 99 trucks motor and tranny harness will not plug into the 96 harness coming out of the dash. I would not swap a diesel for gas this is the exact same motor 3 years newer.
