1988 5.7L TBI to Vortec Crate Engine?
Yay! I’ve already ported my TBI. Sounds like this swap is the way to go. What makes it even better is that the Vortec crate engine is $200 cheaper than replacing the original with a crate engine. Anybody have suggestions on a chip?- Kartch

Thanks for the reply. What do you mean by porting the TBI? Do I need to change anything to delete EGR? Is that part of the chip? Who do you recommend for a chip? Do the exhaust manifold bolt up?- Kartch

I am sorry if this is answered somewhere. I didn't find anything in searching that answers my question. I have a 1988 Cheyenne with the stock 5.7L TBI engine. I'm getting a knock and want to replace with a crate engine. I would rather not buy a crate swirl port head engine if I can convert...- Kartch

Help! Center Vent assembly reassembly
Hello all, I am new here. I bought a 1989 Cheyenne a while back for $500 and am going through it starting with the interior. I did a recolor of the interior plastics so I had to remove everything plastic, which by the way is a ton of plastic!!! Anyway, I popped the vents out of the center...- Kartch
